The holidays are coming... things will get very busy.

Every year, I hustle and stress to prepare gifts and cards.

So this year, I said...

Why not start early and ENJOY the process? 😊

That's my plan.

And that's our October theme at the Happy Creators Collective.

We are drawing happy holiday art, and making cute gifts and cards!

This "Gingerbread Family" drawing 👇 was our project at the LIVE Masterclass. We learned how to draw characters of different ages and genders, and how to personalize them with accessories to make them recognizable as specific people from your circle.

Did you know you can edit Photoshop PSD files online? 😮

Including "smart objects" (something Canva and Procreate still can't do).

I found this online editor, and took it for a test-drive this week. It works exactly as described!

It's called Photopea.

It allows you to work with a PSD file without even creating an account. No charge (but you do have some ads in the right-hand bar).

This is a good option, if you've purchased a mockup file that uses a "smart object" to place your design on a product, but don't have Photoshop.

I hope it helps you create something beautiful!

A: Affirmation

I noticed that my children start doing "creative stuff" when I remove distractions and stimulations from their environment.

First, they say "I am bored" (and I say, "Congrats" 😁).

Then, they wonder around the house for about 10 minutes.

And then... they sit down and start doing something that engages their imagination.

This made me realize that creativity lives in spaciousness. We first need to feel bored! 😆

How often do you feel bored?

I "don't have time" to feel bored, haha! 😂

So much to do.
So much to learn.
So much to experience.

But if I am constantly rushing, how can creativity come into my space?

So here is this week's affirmation:

Creativity requires empty space. Create space on purpose!

I wonder... what thoughts and actions fill my space? What can I eliminate/defer to create "white space" for creativity?
