D: Drawing

Remember the watercolor popsicles from last week? Well... we turned them into a cute pattern!

This was our latest project at the Kawaii Drawing Club® 🥰

A fun pattern like this can be made into custom fabric or even apparel.

I love patterns so much! ☺️

Check out the gorgeousness our KDC members created. Sooo fun!

R: Resource

This little book is pure gold (in my opinion).

It was first published in 1921!

It has mini drawing tutorials that are truly step-by-step. So good for drawing with children.

You know those books that go from step 1.... straight to step 20? 😆

This book does not!

A: Affirmation

Oh my... this week was FULL of personal insights and reflections.

I did a LIVE course with a communications expert Vinh Giang on how to be a better presenter (hey, I am on camera a lot... might as well be better at it 😄)

I took pages and pages of notes!

Of course, I learned a lot of "next level" presentation skills. However, my biggest insight was a memory of the drama lessons I did as a child.

For 7 years, I did drama as a pre-teen.

I didn't think much of it (cause I've been too busy worrying about NOT doing drawing lessons as a child 😂).

But those drama lessons gave me a HUGE gift of brave communication, big voice, confident presence.

I took these things for granted... until this week.

Now I can be truly grateful for those years, and heal the story of "I didn't draw as a child".

I did other things that helped become the artist I am today.

This week's affirmation is a reminder that EVERY experience is a valuable one:

Every past experience is "in service of" the person I am today.

W: Wonder

A question to wonder about this week:

I wonder... what past story is keeping me small? How can I rewrite this and reclaim my power?
