This month at the Kawaii Drawing Club® we are creating happy popsicle art with... digital watercolor!

What? How does that even work? 😮

The idea of digital watercolor might sound intimidating...

The secret to effective digital watercolor is knowing how real watercolor behaves and then mimicking it digitally.

To make the process super clear for our KDC members, I did a demo of painting these popsicles with real watercolor first. Then we painted them together again using digital watercolor.

It worked! Our members were able to grasp the process and become way more comfortable with digital watercolor 😊.

I recently learned about The Creative Bix (no affiliation).

If you enjoy creating art on the iPad, they sell lots of Procreate brushes, color palettes, and even fonts!

A: Affirmation

This week, I spent most of my time with feet in the ocean.... reflecting on life and creativity (we were on a trip with friends).

We talked a lot about wanting to be:

a present parent... AND
a thriving business owner... AND
a prolific artist 😊

Multiple priorities... and they all seem equally important.

It's a challenge for sure! 😆

My friend Cecilia reminded me of this beautiful concept (inspired by Dr. Ellen Langer) and this week's affirmation:

There is no "right" decision. You just need to be right with your decision.

When choosing priorities, choose the one that feels right to you!

W: Wonder

A question to wonder about this week:

I wonder... what decision will I NOT regret 10 years from now?
