D: Drawing

We recently stayed at an old majestic hotel for a weekend. The decorated interiors there were so inspiring! 🥰

There was an old circus panel (photo below) form the 1800's. It had such gorgeous floral designs on it... I couldn't walk past.

I HAD to create an artwork inspired by this aesthetic!

I recently did a "Floral Silhouettes" Skillshare class with Cat Coq (I'll link to it below), so this was a perfect opportunity to apply what I learned. 😊

Here is the butterfly I created, while on that trip.

I sweated over this one. 😅 Perhaps it's because it's the first time I am doing a design like this.

But I also truly loved every moment of it. And I love how it came out. 😊

Here is the circus panel that inspired the art:

A: Affirmation

This week has been so "up and down". 😆 I've dropped a few balls and made mistakes I haven't made in YEARS!! 🙈

At the same time, I've had moments of intense inspiration and long-held dreams coming to the surface.

Such a rollercoaster, haha 🎢.

So here this week's affirmation, as a reminder that where there is dark – there is also light.

Darkest shadows are produced by the brightest light.

Keep shining your light, no matter how dark the shadows get. ☀️

W: Wonder

I've been asking myself this question.

I've asked our Kawaii Drawing Club® members this question.

And this week, I invite you to ask yourself this question as well – as we transition into dreaming up the next year.

I wonder... what lights me up as a human being?

I know it's a tough one... No exact answer is needed... The reflection itself is valuable.

With love,
Tatyana
