D: Drawing

We are learning how to draw puppies of different breeds at the Kawaii Drawing Club®, using photo references.

February has been such a fun month of puppy cuteness! 🐾

R: Resource

Today's resources comes from my 9-year-old son 😄.

He's been building epic worlds in Minecraft (there is a "World Builder" mod that looks just like 3D modeling software!).

After building the shapes, he adds color and texture to them.

He was narrating his process, and said, "... and then I go to Color Hunt to find a nice color palette".

Of course, I jumped in to see what this "Color Hunt" is! 😂

It's a very cool website with a collection of color palettes organized by themes.

I know there are a few color websites out there...

What I like about Color Hunt is that it's not overwhelming. It's visual, clean, and sortable by a theme.

A: Affirmation

As a mom, my sleep is still brief and interrupted.

I don't see many dreams.

But the other day, I had a dream...

It was a page with an image on it. There were lines pointing to the image, but with no writing on them.

Kinda like a technical specs digram with lines and labels... 👇

But in my dream, all the labels were blank.

And the message I got was: "You get to write your own specifications".

So here is this week's affirmation:

Own it. Love it. Live it!

W: Wonder

I struggle with designing headers for things like my YouTube channel, Facebook group, etc 😆.

I want to put soooo much into this tiny space that my mind locks up.

Now, I have a new process to become "unstuck".

I tune into my heart and say:

• What do I want to say with it?
• What would be cool?
• What would I enjoy seeing every day?"

...and not putting any "how to" limitations.

Cause in the past, any creative idea I had was choked by "But how would I do that?"

Once I have the idea, I'll find a way to communicate it 😊.

So here is the question to wonder about, when coming up with a creative idea:
