D: Drawing

This month, our drawing theme the the Happy Creators Collective is gaming-inspired art 🥰.

We are revisiting the old beloved classics, and giving them a fresh look with textures and special effects.

Our first project for the month is Kirby fan art, with delicious retro effects, like halftone dots and worn paper textures. So cute!

R: Resource

You know the thrill of discovering something that really REALLY inspires you?

That's how I felt, when I discovered the work of a lettering artist Vinitha Mammen.

Love at first sight!

I found her through Skillshare (while doing research for next month's theme at the Collective, which will be lettering 😊).

So for this week's Resource, I would like to share her class with you. It's called "Mastering Lettering Composition" (on Skillshare). So good.

For this week's affirmation, I would like to share one of Vinitha's illustrated lettering pieces (told you, I am obsessed with her work 😆).

I really felt this one...

The "You Decide" part at the end makes the biggest difference 😉.

Here is this week's question to wonder about:

I wonder... what do I keep deferring to "one day", even though I can start doing something for it right now?

PS: as I typed this, I added a task to my Monday's list to finally contact the lady, who I've been wanting to connect with for weeks 😄.

What small step can you take towards an outcome you desire?
